What should a small business website include?

Ten things: click-to-call on every screen, your prices, real photos of your work, your reviews, where you work, speed on a phone, the right language, a form that reaches you, a link to your Google profile, and structured data. All ten fit on one page. This is the checklist we build every site to.

01 · The checklist

Ten things every small business site needs.

1. Click-to-call on every screen

A call or text button that stays in reach on a phone. Local customers often call before they buy, and a number they have to copy is a lost call.

2. Your prices, or how to get one

A price, a "from" price or a package list. If the price depends on the job, a quote button that says what to send.

3. Real photos of your work

Your jobs, your place, your team. Stock photos tell the customer nothing about you.

4. Your reviews

Real reviews quoted word for word, with a link to read them all on Google.

5. Where you work

Your service area, or a map and directions if customers come to you. The same name, phone and area as your Google profile.

6. Fast on a phone

Test it on a phone on a slow connection, not on office Wi-Fi. Photos sized for the screen, nothing heavy before the first thing people see.

7. English and Spanish, where your customers need it

If your customers read Spanish, written Spanish, not machine translation. If they don't, English is fine to start.

8. A form that reaches the owner

A short form whose messages land in the owner's own inbox, tested end to end before launch.

9. A link to your Google Business Profile

Your site and your profile point at each other, so customers can read your reviews and get directions.

10. Structured data (schema)

Code that tells search engines your business name, phone, area, services and FAQ in a format they read directly.

02 · What you can skip

What a small business site does not need.

A blog you will not keep up. A slider of stock photos. A page for every city you have ever driven through. A chat bubble nobody answers. Ten pages when your customers only need one.

A small site that does the ten things above beats a big site that buries them.

03 · One page or more

All ten fit on one page.

A one-page site can do every item on this list. You need more sections when you have more services to explain, a gallery to show, or customers who read in two languages.

04 · Pricing

Every tier covers the list.

Launch

$300

One-page custom site.

Custom

$1,500

Multi-section site, English + Spanish, local SEO and Google Business setup.

Signature 3D

$3,000+

A scroll-through film plus everything in Custom.

Care is optional, and we recommend it: one plan at $200 a month for hosting, security, maintenance, a lead CRM and unlimited revisions. With the plan, we register and pay for your domain. The minimum is 12 months, to match the domain's year. One-page sites go live in days. The full custom build is usually one to two weeks. The Signature 3D film takes longer because every scene is rendered. See what a website costs in Miami, tier by tier.

Questions

The stuff everyone asks first.

What should a small business website include?
Click-to-call on every screen, your prices or a way to get one, real photos of your work, your reviews, your service area or address, speed on a phone, the language your customers read, a lead form that reaches you, a link to your Google Business Profile, and structured data for search engines.
How many pages does a small business website need?
Often one. A one-page site can cover every item on the checklist. Add sections when you have more services to explain or more work to show.
Should I put prices on my website?
If you can, yes. A price or a starting price answers the first question most customers have. If the price depends on the job, say what it depends on and give them a quote button.
Do I need a website if I have Instagram or a Google profile?
Not always on day one. Your Google Business Profile is what shows up on Maps, and Instagram shows your work. A website is the one place you control: your services, your prices, your area and a button to call, and it is where your Google profile sends people. To start small, a one-page site is $300.
What is structured data and do I need it?
It is code that tells search engines your business name, phone, area, services and FAQ in a format they read directly. Every site we build includes it.
Can I build this checklist into my current website?
Often, yes. A Google fix on your current site is $450, or a new one-page site plus the fix is $600.
